Once you have attached the shipping label to your parcel and placed it in one of bpost's Post Points, you can no longer edit the shipping details. Your addressee can edit his/her delivery preferences online or via the My bpost app (for all parcels or per parcel).

Your parcel remains available maximum 5 days in a Parcel Locker and 14 days at a Pick-up point. In exceptional cases, you may have to pay VAT and import costs a second time on your shipment. This is because the IOSS webshop on which you ordered or the local postal company of the sender did not (correctly) register this information. An IOSS shop is required to forward its IOSS number digitally. Customs uses this number to read out the necessary information about your shipment automatically. If this number is not transmitted or valid, the bpost customs clearance service is obliged to charge the recipient for VAT and customs formalities. (It is not enough to note the IOSS number on the package or to communicate it afterwards.) If you are charged import costs and VAT a second time, then: You can refuse the shipment in the My bpost app or Track & Trace and request a full refund from the sender. You can pay the import costs and reclaim the VAT from the sender who wrongfully charged it. To do this, contact the sender and present your proof of payment from the My bpost app or Track & Trace.
Go to Track & Trace or use the My bpost app to track your mail. Enter the alphanumerical part of the barcode of your mail item. You’ll find this on the proof of receipt or your till receipt. If you created a shipping label, you can track your registered mail item in the My bpost app.
Registered mail is delivered to addresses in Belgium the next working day. You can track your registered mail in the My bpost app or in Track & Trace . If the addressee has a bpost account and we know their email address, we’ll send them a heads-up of the incoming registered mail by email and in the app. We don’t state the sender’s name for privacy reasons.

bpost delivers the parcel based on the stated address. If your addressee no longer lives there, we register that the address is not correct or that the addressee no longer lives there. bpost sends the parcel back to you. If you think that your parcel was wrongfully sent back to you, you can report this via the online form at the bottom of this page.
If Track & Trace indicates that bpost has received your shipment, you will receive it within a maximum of 5 working days. If the shipment has not arrived after 10 working days, you can file a complaint with the sender. The sender can decide whether to refund the purchase (partially) or reship your order. As there is no tracking of the shipment, there is no compensation possible from bpost. , Tip: , when buying outside the EU, always opt for a tracked shipment and preferably buy from webshops that ask you to pay VAT in advance. This limits your costs and risks (import costs cannot be recovered in case of loss or damage) and speeds up the delivery time.
