The new Mail Ahead feature in the My bpost app is currently a beta version. During the testing phase, we limit the number of users to a selection of beta testers. How do I know if I can activate Mail Ahead (beta)? If you’ve received an e-mail or see the ‘Mail Ahead’ tab in the ‘More’ menu of the My bpost app, you can activate and test this feature. Simply verify your identity and address with itsme®. More options to verify your ID will soon be available. How do I deactivate Mail Ahead (beta)? You can deactivate Mail Ahead in the 'More' menu, in ‘Mail Ahead’ tab. If the switch button is red, Mail Ahead is activated. To deactivate this feature, simply turn off the button. When the button is grey, Mail Ahead is deactivated.
There are several ways to print a shipping label created in the My bpost app: You can print it from the app if your smartphone is connected to a printer. After creation in the app, you will receive an email containing the shipping label, which you can print using your computer. You can also send the email with the shipping label to someone who can print it for you. You can choose to have your shipping label printed in a Post Office or Post Point (€0.75). This option must be ticked when you create your shipping label (last step in the process). You will receive a unique barcode; show this at a Post Office or Post Point. An employee will print your shipping label and make sure your parcel is delivered.
You can follow the parcels of all postal services in the My bpost app.

Download the shipping label and print it (if you can connect to a printer), or send it to someone who can print it for you. You can also have your label printed in a Post Office or Post Point (€0.75). This option must be ticked when you create your shipping label. Attach the shipping label to your parcel and hand it in at a Post Office, Parcel Point or Post Point. Or send it via a bpost Parcel Locker.
The addressee watches your video when they scan the QR code on your postcard using the Mobile Postcard app or the camera on a (recent) smartphone, or by using a separately downloaded QR app.
You can always return your parcel with bpost, even if it was delivered by a different postal service. In that case, you must purchase a shipping label via our website, in our eShop or in a Post Office, Post Point or Parcel Point. You send your return shipment as regular mail. The price depends on the weight, the size and the destination. Use our online shipping tool to calculate the price of your parcel.
Through Mail Ahead, we aim to give you the fullest possible overview of mail on its way to you. During this test phase, the app shows only mail processed through our sorting machines, with your privacy fully respected. This may mean that some mail arrives in your mailbox without appearing in the app (yet).
You can link an additional email address to the My bpost app as follows: Open the My bpost app and select the 'More' menu at the bottom of the screen. Select 'My email addresses' and then 'Add email address'. Enter the email address you wish to add. Enter the verification code that was sent to this email address. Parcels and shipments ordered with this email address will automatically be added to the My bpost app from now on.
After paying for the shipping label for your registered mail, you receive it in digital form in the app, online shipping tool and by email. You can print it yourself or have it printed free of charge at a Post Office or Post Point. You simply need to show the digital label to the person at the counter and they will do the rest.
