If the barcode of your international shipment does not start with the letter "U", then you can easily trace it and thus track it online. A barcode with the letter “U” is only used to enable the import procedure and to present the shipment to Belgian customs. After release, it will be handed over to bpost without further tracking. The barcode can be found in our communications (My bpost app, e-mail or sms), on the receipt from the Post Office and on the note the postman left in your letterbox. To track your shipment, make sure to enter the complete barcode on Track & Trace or in the My bpost app.
Your parcel does not receive extra protection if you send it in a bpost box. If you want extra protection, choose the ‘With warranty’ shipping option. In case of loss or damage, you will be reimbursed for the value of the contents of your shipment (up to max. €500). More information about the calculation of this compensation . You can select this mailing option when creating a shipping label via the online shipping tool. Or go to a Post Office or Post Point near you and ask the counter clerk to send your parcel with warranty. You can also choose the ‘With warranty’ option for parcels sent abroad.
The My bpost app is free to install. You can pay for the following bpost products and services in the app: , A shipping label , for a parcel. You create the shipping label in the app and pay for it at the checkout. , Import charges for mail shipped from outside the European Union. , You may have to pay import charges when you receive a parcel shipped from outside the European Union. You will be notified of this in the app.  You can pay for a shipping label or settle import charges in one of the following ways: With Payconiq by Bancontact or your banking app with Payconiq by Bancontact functionality or using your card reader. If you believe that your parcel does meet these conditions, you can apply for an exemption by contesting the import costs. To do so, ask the sender to send you an e-mail confirming: the contents of the shipment the value (in €) of the shipment that your shipment is a gift Afterwards, enter your barcode and postal code via Track & Trace or via the My bpost app. There you will find a link to an online form to dispute your import costs. Upload the sender's email to this form as proof.

Check the print preview of your postcard carefully. [ Follow the app's suggestions if an error message appears on the address. For complaints about the quality of your postcard or non-delivery, contact the Customer Care Centre. They will investigate what went wrong. If there was an error in the printing process, the Customer Care Centre will ask you to send a photo of the postcard via e-mail.
