Which delivery preference can I choose if I am not home?

If you are not home, you can use MyPreferences or the My bpost app to choose to have your parcel delivered:

In a safe place

This is an accessible place around your home (e.g. carport, garden shed, under a lean-to). Make sure that the chosen place is safe, dry and easily accessible.

Tip: Upload two photos of your safe place in MyPreferences or the My bpost app to give our postman a helping hand.

To a neighbour

You can choose a neighbour in your street within a radius of 50 m from your home. It is best to ask your neighbour’s permission first so that they don’t refuse your parcels when we offer them there. You can also let the postman choose which neighbour the parcel will be delivered to. You will be informed by email and Track & Trace where your parcel was delivered.

In a Pick-up Point

You can select a Pick-up Point near you from the list provided. If delivery to a neighbour or safe place is not possible, you can also select a Pick-up Point as a second option.

In a Parcel Locker

You can select a Parcel Locker near you from the list provided.
