Go to Track &amp; Trace or use the My bpost app to track your mail. Enter the alphanumerical part of the barcode of your mail item. You’ll find this on the proof of receipt or your till receipt. If you created a shipping label, you can track your registered mail item in the My bpost app.

What happens to my registered mail if the addressee is not home?

If the addressee is not home, a failed delivery notice is left in the letterbox. The addressee can use this to pick up the item in the Post Office or Post Point mentioned on the failed delivery notice; the item must be collected within 15 calendar days.If the addressee does not pick up your mail within 15 calendar days, it will be sent back to you. Make sure that your name and address are clearly written on the item.

Before your international registered mail leaves Belgium, you can follow it via Track &amp; Trace or the My bpost app. After it leaves Belgium, you can follow your shipment via the tracking tool of the foreign post operator. If you want written proof that the addressee received your shipment, add the confirmation of receipt option.

&nbsp;We process your international registered mail as a priority shipment. After that it depends on the delivery period of the foreign post operator that handles your shipment. Once the shipment leaves Belgium, the delivery period differs from country to country.

Track &amp; Trace notifications are only informative and have no legal value. Only the mailing receipt ensures that you are legally covered.

Can I receive a proof of deposit of my registered mail by email?

At the moment, proofs of deposit cannot be sent by email. You can receive this proof in the My bpost app or in the shipping tool if you create a shipping label there. The proof of deposit will appear in the app or in your account when your registered mail item enters our network. This is deemed a legally valid document in the event of a dispute.You will receive a stamped proof of deposit from the person at the counter if you prepare and drop off your registered mail at a Post Office or Post Point. This is also deemed a legally valid document in the event of a dispute.
