It is forbidden to send money by both national and international mail. More information about things that you cannot send as a letter can be found in the General Terms and Conditions. Sometimes it's better to send objects in a reinforced envelope or as a parcel. Do you want to send an important letter? We recommend that you send it as Registered Mail (if desired with a Declared Value).

You can use credits to pay for a mobile postcard. The more credits you buy in advance, the less you pay per postcard. You can easily purchase credits via the 'Credits' menu at the bottom of the screen in the app. With 1 credit, you can send 1 card (as 'Non-priority' mail) to a destination address in Belgium. You can link an additional email address to the My bpost app as follows: Open the My bpost app and select the 'More' menu at the bottom of the screen. Select 'My email addresses' and then 'Add email address'. Enter the email address you wish to add. Enter the verification code that was sent to this email address. Parcels and shipments ordered with this email address will automatically be added to the My bpost app from now on.
If you want to send a postcard or buy credits, you need an account with a password. It's very easy to set this up in the app. The benefits of an account: You can buy multiple credits and receive a discount. You can save the design of your postcards. You can access your credits on both your smartphone and your tablet. Your addresses are saved. There's no need type them in again and again. You have an overview of all the cards you've sent.
You can change your postcard only until you press 'Send'. But the moment you press 'Send', your postcard is gone and you'll no longer be able to change it. You can reuse the same card and send it again, to the same person or someone else. You can do this up to two weeks after you send the postcard the first time. You're able to access a copy of the card and edit it in the app. You'll have to pay for this subsequent sending.
That depends from case to case. If your parcel is lost or damaged and you would like to file a claim for a compensation, it is best to contact our customer service via the online form at the bottom of this page. This way, you can immediately provide all the necessary information and documents to process your file. In case of damage, the complaint must be submitted within 7 calendar days.
Yes, that's possible. You'll need to have access to both accounts to do it. Log in to the account to which you want to transfer the credits. Go to 'Menu' and then 'My account'. Select ‘Transfer my credits' and enter the email address for the account from which you want to transfer the credits. You'll receive an email requesting your confirmation. This will be sent to the email address for the account from which you want to transfer the credits. Confirm this and the credits will be transferred within two days.
bpost has the right to open shipments with Belgium as the destination: if they cannot be delivered to the addressee; and if the address of the sender is not on the parcel. If we still cannot deliver the shipment to the addressee's address after opening it, then the parcel can be destroyed as from a certain period after it was sent: after 6 months for registered mail and shipments with a guarantee after 3 months for other shipments After the aforementioned period has expired, valuables and valuable documents included in these shipments become property of the Belgian Treasury. International shipments can also be opened by bpost if the address is not on the shipment.
