You can prepare a registered mail item to an addressee in Belgium in the My bpost app or via our online shipping tool. By doing so you don’t necessarily need to go along to a Post Office.Shipping label in the My bpost app or shipping toolYou can create a shipping label to affix to your registered mail item in the My bpost app or shipping tool. You then drop the item off:At a Post OfficeAt a Post PointIn a Red LetterboxAt a Post Office or Post PointYou can always drop off registered mail at a Post Office or a Post Point. The person at the counter will help you with this.At the moment you cannot send registered mail in the form of an email with bpost.

What should I take with me to the Post Office or Post Point to ensure my registered mail is ready to send straight away?

All the documents you need to send registered mail are available at your Post Office or Post Point. You can also pick up these documents to prepare your registered mail at home.You can also prepare your registered mail item in the My bpost app or via our online shipping tool. In that case, you will receive a digital shipping label, which you should print and affix to your mail item. Then all you need to do is drop it off in a Red Letterbox, at a Post Office or at a Post Point.

How do I make my registered mail with customised insurance ready for mailing?

Specific rules apply depending on the value and packaging.Mail in an envelopeMake sure that your envelope does not become damaged. Make sure that the shipment:is packaged securely and is one single piece&nbsp;is completely closed (with strong tape or in a secure envelope)&nbsp;is correctly sealed, with a special uniform imprint or special uniform markings from you as the senderis handed in without a label&nbsp;Registered mail with customised insurance up to €250 can be sent in a regular, closed packaged (without tape or stamps).Mail in a boxStrict rules apply to mail in a box. The box itself must satisfy several conditions and a number of details are required on the box. There are various ways to frank registered mail at home.In the eShop or at a Post OfficeYou can buy a “Domestic registered mail kit” online in the eShop, which is enough for 10 registered mail items. What’s in the kit:10 prior stamps for domestic mail10 registered mail stamps10 proofs of posting for domestic registered itemsThe kit is also available in Post Offices.In the My bpost app or via our shipping toolYou can also frank your registered mail item using the My bpost app or our online shipping tool. In that case, you will receive a digital shipping label, which you should print and affix to your mail item. This label is used instead of a prior stamp and a registered mail stamp.

Can bpost print the shipping label for my registered mail for me?

Accepted Answer

After paying for the shipping label for your registered mail, you receive it in digital form in the app, online shipping tool and by email. You can print it yourself or have it printed free of charge at a Post Office or Post Point. You simply need to show the digital label to the person at the counter and they will do the rest.

Can I change the shipping label for my registered mail?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, you cannot change a label once it has been created. If you change it yourself with a pen (the name or address, say), it will be deemed invalid and not delivered. In this case, we advise you to create a new shipping label.

I didn’t receive a shipping label after payment. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

After payment in the My bpost app or online shipping tool, you should immediately receive a shipping label for your registered mail item in the app or shipping tool itself and by email. Check your junk folder or spam filter if you cannot find the email. If you are sure you have not received it, contact our customer service.
