Why do I need to provide an invoice during the import procedure of my parcel?

Upon arrival in Belgium, the value of the contents of your shipment must be known. This value is determined based on the invoice. Without this information, the required VAT and customs duties cannot be calculated and the shipment cannot be delivered. You will be asked to provide an invoice via Track & Trace.

If your shipment is a gift and the value cannot be determined, you must be able to prove that it is a shipment between two private individuals (without the intervention of a sales platform like eBay). An estimate of the value of the goods is also required. Proof by email or a signed document is sufficient.

If you do not provide the requested information within the requested period, the shipment cannot be delivered and it will be returned to the sender.
