Who can pick up your shipment depends on the type of shipment.

, Anyone can pick up your parcel from a Pick-up Point or Parcel Locker as long as that person has the barcode of your parcel. You can find the barcode in the confirmation email, the My bpost app or on the notice of absence you received in your letterbox.
, My shipment is registered mail
, You can recognise registered mail by the barcode starting with the numbers ‘010’ or the letter ‘R’. Only the specified recipient can pick up registered mail upon presentation of their ID card and the barcode. You can also give a postal mandate to someone else by signing the notice of absence and giving it to the person who will pick up your shipment. You can send money with Ria Money Transfer in five easy steps: You complete the ‘Send Money’ form. You give the form to the counter clerk together with your identity document and the money. You sign as correct and get a receipt that states the PIN code of your transaction. You contact your addressee and communicate the PIN code that he or she needs to pick up the money. Your addressee picks up the cash at a Ria agency with the PIN code and his or her identity document.

Most bpost parcels are shown automatically in the app. You can add other parcels by scanning the barcode or manually entering the barcode number. You receive status updates to ensure you always know where your parcel is. You can choose which parcels you want to receive status updates for.

Who can accept registered mail?

Only the addressee(s) or those with a postal mandate from the addressee(s) can accept registered mail. The item is only delivered after signing for receipt and checking the ID card of the addressee(s) or postal proxy. The sender determines who the item must be handed over to.
Your My bpost app account must be linked to at least one email address. If you want to use a different email address, you can: Create a new account for the My bpost app. You do this by signing out of your current account via the 'More' menu and then selecting 'Sign out'. Then you can create a new account in the app using your new email address. If you no longer use your old email address, you can also simply add your new address to your current account. Select the 'More' menu, choose 'My email addresses' then enter the email address you wish to add. Parcels and shipments ordered with this email address will automatically be added to the My bpost app from now on. The email addresses you have added can easily be changed or deleted.

Can a minor receive registered mail?

A minor cannot sign for the receipt of registered mail. Only a parent (or someone with parental authority) can receive the registered mail on behalf of the minor. The recipient must be able to prove parental authority over the minor (e.g. via ID card, marriage certificate, court decision, etc.).
