Mail Ahead shows you a scan preview of the envelope of all the following personal mail items that are processed with our sorting machines and addressed to your name and address defined in Mail Ahead: Letters Postal cards You will be notified of the following mail, though without a scan preview, for: Certain recurring administrative letters (e.g., Proximus bill) Some addressed advertising mail (e.g., Colruyt folder) Certain periodicals (e.g., magazines from mutualities, NGOs or unions, etc.) Is currently not shown in Mail Ahead: Parcels Unaddressed mail or mail not addressed to you Registered mail Newspapers and most magazines Mail that is delivered by other postal services Mail that couldn’t be scanned by the sorting machine Mail that weighs more than 350 grams Mail that was sorted by the sender (e.g. some advertising folders)
Will bpost pick up my parcel?

If desired, we will pick up your return shipment at your home. The price for the ‘Pick-up on demand’ service depends on where we must pick up your parcel. You request a pick-up or "collect" online. If you request a pick-up online before 11:30 or via phone before 12:00, then the postman will pick up your parcel(s) the same day between 12:00 and 17:00. If you contact us later in the day, then the postman will pass by the next workday. Attach a bpost shipping label on every parcel. That label is not included in the price of the pick-up. You can have multiple parcels picked up simultaneously: maximum 1.5 m³ and 500 kg per pick-up. Each parcel can weigh maximum 30 kg.
Can I change or delete my email address in the My bpost app?

Your My bpost app account must be linked to at least one email address. If you want to use a different email address, you can: Create a new account for the My bpost app. You do this by signing out of your current account via the 'More' menu and then selecting 'Sign out'. Then you can create a new account in the app using your new email address. If you no longer use your old email address, you can also simply add your new address to your current account. Select the 'More' menu, choose 'My email addresses' then enter the email address you wish to add. Parcels and shipments ordered with this email address will automatically be added to the My bpost app from now on. The email addresses you have added can easily be changed or deleted.
How do I print a shipping label created in the My bpost app?

There are several ways to print a shipping label created in the My bpost app: You can print it from the app if your smartphone is connected to a printer. After creation in the app, you will receive an email containing the shipping label, which you can print using your computer. You can also send the email with the shipping label to someone who can print it for you. You can choose to have your shipping label printed in a Post Office or Post Point (€0.75). This option must be ticked when you create your shipping label (last step in the process). You will receive a unique barcode; show this at a Post Office or Post Point. An employee will print your shipping label and make sure your parcel is delivered.
How can I pay the import costs?

Once the import costs are calculated, you will find a detailed overview of the costs in Track & Trace and in the My bpost app. You will receive a request to pay the import costs. This can be by email, text message or notification if you have installed the My bpost app. If the sender did not send us the data digitally, you will receive a letter with a payment request. You can make the payment securely via the My bpost app or by signing in via Track & Trace. You can pay via Bancontact, Mastercard, Visa or mobile banking. Also from abroad. PayPal and bank transfers are not possible. Exceptionally, you can pay your import costs in another way . Watch out for fake messages and phishing; bpost will never ask you to pay by bank transfer or provide a bank account number. Read all about it on our phishing page .
Can I recover my import costs?

If your parcel is lost or damaged after you have paid the import costs, you cannot recover these costs. Always contact the sender. The sender can launch an investigation. You will be compensated up to the amount of the customs formalities if: your shipment was sent with tracking (barcode that does not start with the letter “U”) the sender has opened an investigation the investigation makes it clear that the fault lies with bpost

, If you are buying outside the EU, choose a tracked shipment if possible. Your parcel is more likely to be found if it is lost. Incoming registered mail is scanned to check that the name on the envelope is the same as the name in your account. You will receive notification of incoming registered mail in the following situations: If you have a My bpost app account If you have a MyPreferences account If you have been to a Post Office or Post Point to request delivery of registered mail straight to your letterbox We won’t be able to send a notification if the name on the envelope is not exactly the same as the name in your account. To avoid this, add all possible versions of your name in your account (for example Alexandre Jansen, Alex Jansen, and A. Jansen). You may also want to check that you haven’t turned off registered mail notifications. It’s easy to turn these notifications back on in the My bpost app.
Why is the My Bpost app no longer supported on iOS 16?

To keep the My Bpost app secure, stable and reliable, we regularly align the app with the iOS versions that Apple actively supports. iOS 16 no longer receives all the latest security and performance updates from Apple. As a result, we can no longer guarantee that the app will continue to work optimally and securely. To ensure smooth performance and protect your data, we have decided to end support for iOS 16 and focus on more recent iOS versions.

, From 27 May, if your device is running iOS 16: the My Bpost app will no longer work; you will no longer be able to use features such as parcel tracking, managing deliveries or opening Bbox lockers via the app. By updating your iOS, you can continue using the My Bpost app as usual.
