What is the most sustainable way to receive a parcel?

A parcel delivered to a Pick-up point or Parcel Locker generates, on average, 30% less CO₂ emissions per parcel than a parcel delivered to your home. That’s because we drive fewer kilometres and can deliver all the parcels on our first attempt. If you pick up your parcel on foot or by bike, the CO₂ emissions are reduced by 90% (study conducted by the Free University of Brussels (VUB)).

Perhaps you have mobility issues, or really want to have that one parcel delivered to your home. In that case, make sure you are at home. Otherwise, your parcel will go to a Pick-up point the next day, and it will have travelled extra kilometres.
