Who is allowed to accept your shipment depends on the type of shipment. , My shipment is a parcel , Anyone at home at your address can accept your parcel, including household help or your partner, even if it is a parcel requiring a signature upon receipt. If we deliver to your (chosen) neighbour, anyone present at that address can also accept the parcel. , My shipment is registered mail , You can recognise registered mail by the barcode starting with the numbers ‘010’ or the letter ‘R’.  In the case of registered mail, only you (or your proxy ) can accept the shipment upon presentation of an ID card.

When the mail carrier rings your bell to deliver a parcel, you can hand over 2 parcels containing old, small electronic devices (e.g. laptop, mobile phone, computer mouse, etc.) free of charge. Your parcel must meet the following conditions and have a Recupel shipping label . If the parcel fits in the letterbox, the mail carrier won’t ring your bell, and you won’t be able to hand over a parcel containing electronic devices. If you want to give the mail carrier a parcel for shipment at the same time, you can only hand over one parcel containing old electronic devices. Recupel is a non-profit organisation that organises the collection and processing of discarded electronic devices in Belgium. Recupel return via bpost is a pilot project running until 28 February 2023. After an evaluation, bpost may continue to offer this service.
Stamps with a face value in Belgian francs will be invalid from 1 January 2028. Stamps with a face value in euros are valid indefinitely. The old stamps cannot be used for prior mail in Belgium (this requires a Prior stamp with barcode). Parcels or registered mail cannot be franked with the old stamps either.
If the original sender provided a return label, then the barcode of your return shipment is on the return label. You can also find the barcode on the sender's website or in the e-mail that you received from us announcing the delivery of your parcel. If you purchased a shipping label, then the barcode is in the e-mail that you received or on the Shipping Receipt issued by the Post Office or Post Point.
If an address error is picked-up upon sorting your letters and cards, your funeral service provider is automatically updated and can warn you through the appropriate channel. If you haven’t received the red mourning bag from your provider but brought your letters to bpost yourself, we’ll send you an e-mail on the provided e-mail address.
