To which foreign countries can I send money with Ria?

With Ria Money Transfer, you can send money to 161 countries around the world. New countries are still being added. You'll find a list of countries that you can send money to in your Post Office or Ria agency.
The sorting centres, roads (logistics), the bpost network (including post offices, post points, pick-up points and parcel lockers) and delivery services are very busy during the end-of-year period between Black Friday and Christmas Day. In order to offset the extra costs incurred during this period, all customers that ship parcels during the end-of-year peak (between Black Friday and Christmas Day) will be billed a surcharge of €1 (excl. VAT) per parcel.

You can prepare most types of registered mail using the My bpost app or online shipping tool. Please note that the delivery address must be in Belgium. This includes: Normalised registered mail (standard format) Non-normalised registered mail (non-standard format) Registered mail with proof of receipt For all other types of registered mail (with a foreign delivery address or personalised insurance, say) you should go to a Post Office or Post Point.

You can send money from all 161 countries where Ria Money Transfer is active. In all those countries you only need a valid identity document. You'll find a list of countries that you can send money to in your Post Office or Ria agency.
bpost also delivers parcels for DHL in Belgium. You must attach a valid DHL shipping label on your return shipment. Your parcel will be delivered to the original sender by DHL. A parcel that is delivered by a different postal service can always be sent back with bpost. In that case, you must purchase a shipping label via our website, in our eShop or in a Post Office, Post Point or Parcel Point. You send your return shipment as regular mail. The price depends on the weight, the size and the destination. Use our online tool to calculate the price of your parcel. One of our partners is responsible for the delivery of your return shipment outside Belgium.

You can drop off your parcel in various places and ways: in a Post Office, Post Point or Parcel Point: up to a maximum of 20 parcels per day with a total maximum volume of 500 kg or 1.5 m³. in some offices, you will find special Parcel Boxes; some of these are equipped with a scanner and can print a mailing receipt. in a Parcel Locker to the postman when he has just delivered a parcel to you. How do I send a parcel with signature upon receipt?

If you want a signature upon receipt of your parcel, you should choose the shipping option ‘with guarantee’. That means the recipient must sign for receipt and you have a guarantee up to €500 if your parcel is lost or damaged. To send your parcel with a guarantee, click on the ‘Guarantee (up to €500)’ option on the online shipping tool. Or ask about it in the Post Office or Post Point. You will have to pay extra for this option. For parcels sent abroad, a basic guarantee of up to €500 (or €15 for documents) is included. As a private sender, you cannot take out a higher guarantee.
Can I protect my international parcel against theft or damage?

You can protect the contents of your parcel sent abroad up to €500 via the ‘With warranty’ mailing option. In case of loss or damage, you will be reimbursed for the value of the contents of your shipment (up to max. €500) + the shipping costs. If the contents only include documents, then you will be reimbursed €15 in case of damage or loss. You can select the ‘With warranty’ mailing option when creating a shipping label via the online shipping tool. Or go to a Post Office or Post Point near you and ask the counter clerk to mail your parcel sent abroad with warranty. More information about the calculation of this compensation .
