You do not need internet access to make a postcard, but you do need it to send and pay for your postcard. Working offline is handy if you are on holiday at a destination where there is hardly any internet. You make your postcards where and when you want. You then send them when you have access to a mobile network or Wi-Fi. Important: the internet connection must be strong enough to allow you to upload your postcard.
It is forbidden to send money by both national and international mail. More information about things that you cannot send as a letter can be found in the General Terms and Conditions. Sometimes it's better to send objects in a reinforced envelope or as a parcel. Do you want to send an important letter? We recommend that you send it as Registered Mail (if desired with a Declared Value).

Follow the steps below to easily create your own shipping label: Go to the online shipping tool or the My bpost app and choose between a national or international shipment. Choose a delivery method: an address, Parcel Locker or Pick-up point. Enter the weight and if desired choose extra options. Enter your details then those of the addressee. Pay and print your shipping label. Or choose the 'Print my shipping label' option and have it printed in a Post Office or Post Point.

You can use credits to pay for a mobile postcard. The more credits you buy in advance, the less you pay per postcard. You can easily purchase credits via the 'Credits' menu at the bottom of the screen in the app. With 1 credit, you can send 1 card (as 'Non-priority' mail) to a destination address in Belgium. Your credits are linked to your account and always remain valid, even if the rates change. or more info about credit prices and how many credits you need for every type of postcard, check out the rates under 'Cards and envelopes'.
Do I need to set a password for the app?

If you want to send a postcard or buy credits, you need an account with a password. It's very easy to set this up in the app. The benefits of an account: You can buy multiple credits and receive a discount. You can save the design of your postcards. You can access your credits on both your smartphone and your tablet. Your addresses are saved. There's no need type them in again and again. You have an overview of all the cards you've sent.
Why can’t I temporarily send goods to the US?

From 29 August 2025, the US government will change its import rules. For every shipment with goods , import duties must be prepaid, regardless of value. Despite the guidance published by the US, there is still much uncertainty regarding critical elements and processes on how payment must be made, which is why bpost cannot process these shipments for now. That’s why we will temporarily stop sending goods to the US on 23 August. This measure comes from the US government and applies to all postal companies worldwide, not only bpost.
The price of a video card depends on the following factors: The sending method for your video card: 'Priority' (delivered the next workday) or 'Non-priority' (delivered within three workdays). The destination of your video card: Belgium or abroad. The number of credits that you purchase in advance. (You can also make just one video card and pay for it.) Send parcels to the United States in every Post Office or Post Point. Make your shipping label online and save time.
This is for you to choose. Send your postcard to us before 3 p.m. on a workday, then: if it is to be delivered to an address in Belgium and you choose 'Priority' mail, it will arrive on the first workday after being made; it will arrive within three workdays after being made if you choose 'Non-priority' mail. If you are sending your card to a country other than Belgium, it will be made the same day and sent. However, the delivery of your card is in the hands of the postal service of the destination country.
