Can I give my prepared parcel to the postman?
FAQResidential
To send or return your parcel with the postman, the following conditions apply: The postman must first deliver a parcel to your home address. You can't just leave it ready at the door or approach the postman in the street. Your parcel cannot weigh more than 30 kg. You are allowed to give the postman maximum 2 parcels per visit. Your parcel must be ready for shipping with a shipping or return label from bpost on it. Keep in mind that the postman can refuse your parcel if it does not meet the conditions or if they cannot transport the parcel safely.
Do I need an account to use the Mobile Postcard app?
FAQResidential
You do not need an account to create a postcard with the Mobile Postcard app. You need an account, and must be logged in, if you want to send the card. If you buy credits, use credits, or pay for a postcard, you will receive a confirmation email. Advantages of a Mobile Postcard account: You can make and save your postcard to send later. You can access your credits on your smartphone and your tablet. Your addresses are saved in the app. You don't have to retype them each time. You get an overview of all the cards you have sent.
What if the addressee does not pick up my registered mail with confirmation of receipt?
FAQResidential
If the addressee is not home, a failed delivery notice is left behind by the postman. The addressee has 15 calendar days to pick up your registered mail with confirmation of receipt (in the Post Office or Post Point mentioned on the failed delivery notice). If the addressee does not pick up your mail within 15 calendar days, it will be sent back to you. Make sure that your name and address are clearly written on your shipment.
Can I make changes if the photo quality is not good?
FAQResidential
In the app, you can use a photo filter for photos that are beautiful but of lesser quality. Sepia, black-and-white and warm tints are nice filters. The blur will be less noticeable on your postcard or video card. Simply add the photo then click on it. If possible, use smartphone photos that are at least 1831 x 1276 pixels. If your smartphone is less than four years old, any photos you take with it should be of good enough quality. Tip: don't zoom too much when taking a photo. A zoomed image is not as sharp.
When do I receive the proof of deposit when dropping off my registered mail in a Red Letterbox?
FAQResidential
You receive the proof of deposit when your mail item enters our network. It is advisable to check the collection times for the Red Letterbox in question. If you drop off your mail item after the last collection of the day it will only enter our network next working day. The proof of deposit will appear in the My bpost app or in your online shipping tool account and is a legally valid document proving that your mail item has been posted.
This is for you to choose. Send your postcard to us before 3 p.m. on a workday, then: if it is to be delivered to an address in Belgium and you choose 'Priority' mail, it will arrive on the first workday after being made; it will arrive within three workdays after being made if you choose 'Non-priority' mail. If you are sending your card to a country other than Belgium, it will be made the same day and sent. However, the delivery of your card is in the hands of the postal service of the destination country.
Will I be informed automatically about app updates?
FAQResidential
You will not be notified about updates. Allow your apps to update automatically or update them manually. Your iPhone or iPad automatically updates the Mobile Postcard app for iOS 13 or higher. But you will not get a message about this. If you have an older operating system, update the app manually. In the app, go to Menu > Version. This will bring you to the App Store. Click on ‘Update’ to download and install the update. If you have an Android smartphone or tablet, you will not receive messages about updates. You can adjust the settings on your device so that apps update automatically. You do this under the Google Play settings.

In principle, bpost does not open letters. There are a number of reasons why we do open letters (read the General Terms and Conditions ): We cannot deliver the letter to the addressee and there is no return address on the envelope. We open the letter to identify the sender. That enables us to return the letter. My letter is damaged. What happened? It's possible that our sorting machines damaged the envelope. That happens occasionally to thick letters or letters with a special size. In that case, the sender should choose a reinforced envelope or a parcel.
