You can follow your shipment abroad online via Track & Trace or the My bpost app using the barcode number of your shipment. As soon as your parcel crosses the border, another foreign postal service will take care of the delivery. From the moment your parcel is abroad, we depend on information from our foreign colleagues.
Choose registered mail if you want to prove that your item or letter was sent, without any dispute concerning the destination. In some cases, registered mail is even required by law. Use registered mail for: • official, confidential, original documents • termination of contracts (tenancy, insurance, energy, etc.) • commencement of contracts (insurance, telephone, etc.) • official correspondence with your employer • documents related to your health or that are important to you • a dispute • small gifts
Your photo must be at least 1831 x 1276 pixels. If you have a smartphone that is less than four years old, the quality of the photos you take with it should be fine. Tip for better photo quality: it's better to take a step forward than to zoom in.
You know when your postcard has been sent when you receive a confirmation email. In the app, under 'Follow-up' it will also say 'Sent'. It should arrive the next workday for 'Priority' mail to a Belgian destination, and within three days for 'Non-priority' mail to a Belgian destination. Of course, you can ask the addressee whether your card has arrived.
bpost delivers the parcel based on the stated address. If your addressee no longer lives there, we register that the address is not correct or that the addressee no longer lives there. bpost sends the parcel back to you. If you think that your parcel was wrongfully sent back to you, you can report this via the online form at the bottom of this page.
It's easy to pay for your postcard, video card or credits with VISA, MasterCard, or Bancontact (an app or the card reader), bpaid or PayPal. You can pay for your order at the time you send your postcards. You may prefer to purchase credits in advance. With credits, you pay less per card, sending goes more quickly and you can send multiple postcards at the same time via the app.
We don't print the video on the postcard. Instead, video postcards feature a QR code. The recipient of your postcard scans the QR code on the front with the Mobile Postcard app, an external QR app, or the camera on a recent smartphone. They can then watch and hear your video. The film of your video postcard can last for as long as one minute. It remains available for one year.
If you have received one, the pick-up location and term will be stated on your failed delivery notice. If you have chosen in the My bpost app to have registered mail delivered straight to a Post Office or Post Point near you, you will receive a push notification in the app and e-mail as soon as the registered mail is available for pick-up.
We are sorry for this inconvenience. You can share your experience through our online form so that we can discuss it further with the Pick-up point you visited.
