Can I buy pre-stamped envelopes?

You can buy pre-stamped envelopes in our eShop , a Post Office in your neighbourhood, and in some shops like AVA and Makro.
We understand how it could be irritating to have to show your ID card every time you receive registered mail. However, under the postal law ( see Royal Decree of 14 March 2022 – Chapter 2 Article 9. § 1 ) our delivery and counter staff have an obligation to check your identity and to take a photo of an official document confirming your identity. That is because registered mail has legal value. We therefore need to check your proof of identity to verify your identity, so we can be certain that the mail has been handed to the right person.

, Have registered mail delivered straight to your letterbox
, You can also have your registered mail delivered straight to your letterbox without having to sign for it. You can activate this option in the My bpost app (as a delivery preference) or at a Post Office or Post Point – upon presentation of your ID card. You authorise bpost to deliver registered mail straight to your letterbox and you will no longer need to show your ID card or even be home at the time of delivery.
We apologise if something went wrong in the Post Office or Ria agency. You can always report this to the customer service of Ria Money Transfer.
Where do I drop off my non-standardised letter?

You can place your non-standardised letter in one of the many bpost mailboxes. If your envelope doesn't fit in the opening, drop it off in a Post Office.
When will my international registered mail be delivered?

We process your international registered mail as a priority shipment. After that it depends on the delivery period of the foreign post operator that handles your shipment. Once the shipment leaves Belgium, the delivery period differs from country to country.

If you get a parcel that is intended for someone else, then you shouldn't use the return label. Bring the parcel to a Post Office. Tell the counter clerk that the parcel was delivered to the wrong address. We will make sure that it is delivered to the correct address.
Is it better to send urgent mail as registered mail?

Registered mail is not faster than a regular delivery. To have your letter delivered tomorrow, use a Priority stamp and place it in a red mailbox (do that before the last collection) or drop off your letter in a Post Office before 16:00.
Specific rules apply depending on the value and packaging.
