Stamps with a face value in Belgian francs will be invalid from 1 January 2028. Stamps with a face value in euros are valid indefinitely. The old stamps cannot be used for prior mail in Belgium (this requires a Prior stamp with barcode). Parcels or registered mail cannot be franked with the old stamps either.
You can only hand in your registered mail with customised insurance at a Post Office. You can also go to a Post Office to make your shipment ready for mailing. That way you are sure that the strict rules related to this type of mail are applied.
Is my international registered mail insured?
FAQResidential
Yes, your international registered mail is insured by default against theft, loss and damage for an amount of maximum 30 SDR per registered mail. The SDR is a monetary unit created by the international Monetary Fund. If you want to customise the insurance value of your registered mail, choose registered mail with customised insurance.
How much does that cost?
FAQResidential
Each delivered card/letter will cost the price of a PRIOR sending (see Quantity-pricing for 0-50 g letters). If you were given the red bag by your funeral service provider, they will invoice you the full cost after the funerals. If you drop your letters/cards directly at the Post Office, you will pay the total amount upfront.
Can I edit the location or time of a delivery?
FAQResidential
Once you have attached the shipping label to your parcel and placed it in one of bpost's Post Points, you can no longer edit the shipping details. Your addressee can edit his/her delivery preferences online or via the My bpost app (for all parcels or per parcel).
You do need credits to send a postcard; it's also possible to pay for your postcards using other methods when you send them. However, if you buy at least five credits in advance, you will receive a discount on your postcards.
You do not need credits to send a postcard. You're also able to pay per order (for one or more postcards). However, purchasing credits in advance does have its advantages: You save time because you don't have to pay on a postcard by postcard basis. You save money because your postcards cost less with credits.
Credits for personalised postcards appear in your app immediately after your payment. If you don't see them, close the Mobile Postcard app, then reopen it. If you still don't see your new credits, log out then log back in using the same address as you used when you bought the credits.
What type of photos cannot be used on Mobile Postcard?
FAQResidential
Only use photos that you own. Do not use shocking, unethical or illegal photos. If we get reports of improper images or messages, we will report them to the judicial or regulatory authorities. The client is responsible for the content of the postcard.
Before your international registered mail leaves Belgium, you can follow it via Track & Trace or the My bpost app. After it leaves Belgium, you can follow your shipment via the tracking tool of the foreign post operator. If you want written proof that the addressee received your shipment, add the confirmation of receipt option.
