When will my international registered mail be delivered?

We process your international registered mail as a priority shipment. After that it depends on the delivery period of the foreign post operator that handles your shipment. Once the shipment leaves Belgium, the delivery period differs from country to country.
For logistical reasons, you can only choose Pick-up points that are in the same distribution zone as the delivery address. That way our mail distribution is as efficient as possible.
Who can accept registered mail?

Only the addressee(s) or those with a postal mandate from the addressee(s) can accept registered mail. The item is only delivered after signing for receipt and checking the ID card of the addressee(s) or postal proxy. The sender determines who the item must be handed over to.
Why can my letter or card be returned?

The most common reasons for returning a letter are: The letter does not have a stamp. The letter does not have enough stamps. The letter contains an incorrect address. The reason why your card or letter was retuned is written on the red sticker.
Why will the postman be passing by a second time after leaving a failed delivery notice?

If your parcel is delivered on a Saturday and you are not home, the postman will pass by again the next workday.
Can a minor receive registered mail?

A minor cannot sign for the receipt of registered mail. Only a parent (or someone with parental authority) can receive the registered mail on behalf of the minor. The recipient must be able to prove parental authority over the minor (e.g. via ID card, marriage certificate, court decision, etc.).
How do I prove the value of the object that I send?

You can prove the value of the contents of your parcel with an invoice or other document that confirms the value. More information can be found in the overview of valid documents for claiming compensation.
How can I pay in the My bpost app?

You're more than welcome to add text to your postcard or video card. After you've chosen your photo or photos, a little decoration in the form of a theme, stickers and/or text is a great way to add a personal touch.
Tips for sending a fragile parcel: Make sure that two fragile objects don't touch - place something between them. Fill the empty space in the box with blister padding or other material. bpost does not have a specific way of sending fragile objects.
