You need stamps to send a letter. How many and which stamps depend on the size (standardised or non-standardised), weight and destination of your letter. You can use stamps instead of a shipping label if your shipment does not exceed the following dimensions and weight: Width: 230 mm Length: 350 mm Height: 30 mm Weight: 2 kg Please note: if you send a parcel with stamps, then there is no barcode and you cannot follow it with Track & Trace. A shipping label has a barcode and can be followed with Track & Trace.

Do I have to declare my shipment via bpost?

No. You are free to choose any carrier to present your shipment to Belgian customs. Note that they will also charge you an administration fee. Theoretically, you can declare your shipment to Belgian customs yourself without any support of bpost or another carrier. However, you should be aware that the customs clearance procedure is complex. We therefore recommend you to let us or another carrier present your shipment to customs.
After we have received your parcel from the sender, we try to deliver all parcels sent within Belgium the next workday. You can follow the status of your parcel with Track & Trace and the My bpost app using your barcode. The stated time slot (date and time) for delivery is an indication; 95% of the parcels are delivered within this time slot. More information about the delivery period of international parcels.
