ou only need to attach a shipping label on a parcel that you return to a country within the EU. For a parcel that you return to a country outside the EU, you must also provide customs documents. If the original sender doesn't provide a return label, then you can purchase a shipping label via our website, in our eShop or in a Post Office, Post Point or Parcel Point. In exceptional cases, you may have to pay VAT and import costs a second time on your shipment. This is because the IOSS webshop on which you ordered or the local postal company of the sender did not (correctly) register this information. An IOSS shop is required to forward its IOSS number digitally. Customs uses this number to read out the necessary information about your shipment automatically. If this number is not transmitted or valid, the bpost customs clearance service is obliged to charge the recipient for VAT and customs formalities. (It is not enough to note the IOSS number on the package or to communicate it afterwards.) If you are charged import costs and VAT a second time, then: You can refuse the shipment in the My bpost app or Track & Trace and request a full refund from the sender. You can pay the import costs and reclaim the VAT from the sender who wrongfully charged it. To do this, contact the sender and present your proof of payment from the My bpost app or Track & Trace.

You will receive an e-mail once your parcel has arrived in the Parcel Locker. This e-mail contains the steps to open the Parcel Locker. You will also find the different steps on the Parcel Locker itself. , Parcel Locker with screen , Scan the QR code you have received via the My bpost app or e-mail. If you have opted for direct delivery to a Parcel Locker, you will also find a 6-digit code under the QR code to open the locker. Take out your parcel and close the door of the locker. , Screenless Parcel Locker , The Screenless Parcel Locker does not have a touch screen and can only be opened via the My bpost app. The app communicates via Bluetooth with the Parcel Locker in order to open it. Who can pick up your shipment depends on the type of shipment. , My shipment is a parcel , Anyone can pick up your parcel from a Pick-up Point or Parcel Locker as long as that person has the barcode of your parcel. You can find the barcode in the confirmation email, the My bpost app or on the notice of absence you received in your letterbox. , My shipment is registered mail , You can recognise registered mail by the barcode starting with the numbers ‘010’ or the letter ‘R’.  Only the specified recipient can pick up registered mail upon presentation of their ID card and the barcode. You can also give a postal mandate to someone else by signing the notice of absence and giving it to the person who will pick up your shipment.
