When you hand over the money, the counter clerk in the Post Office will immediately give you a paper proof of remittance with the PIN code of your transfer. If you want to know whether the money was picked up, you must phone the Customer Care Center of Ria Money Transfer on the number 02 588 24 14.
You pick up the money in a Post Office in your neighbourhood or in a Ria agency. On the ‘Receive money’ form, fill in the transaction PIN code, the first and last name of the sender, and the country where the money was sent. Give the completed form to the counter clerk together with your identity document. After your details are checked, the counter clerk will pay out the amount in cash.
bpost delivers this mail in Belgium. Outside Belgium it is delivered by a local postal operator.

The PIN code alone is not sufficient. The sender must write your name 100% correct. You must ask the sender to modify that small spelling or clerical error in the Post Office or Ria agency where the money was sent. You can only pick up the money after your name has been corrected.
If your name is spelled wrong, only the sender can modify it. Ask the sender to go to the Post Office or Ria agency where he or she sent the money. That is the only place where he or she can modify the spelling of your name. Once the spelling has been changed, you can pick up the money.
You can protect the contents of your parcel within Belgium up to €500 via the ‘With warranty’ mailing option. In case of loss or damage, you will be reimbursed for the value of the contents of your shipment (up to max. €500) + the shipping costs. If the contents only include documents, then you will be reimbursed €15 in case of damage or loss. You can select the ‘With warranty’ mailing option when creating a shipping label via the online shipping tool. Or go to a Post Office or Post Point near you and ask the counter clerk to send your parcel with warranty. With a regular shipping label, without extra options, we only reimburse the shipping costs of your parcel if we are responsible for the loss or the damage.
A couple of tips if you have not received anything: Check if someone else (your neighbour or flatmate) has received your parcel. If it is a small parcel, the postman may have delivered it to your letterbox without ringing the doorbell. Your parcel may also have been delivered according to your delivery preferences (directly to a Pick-up point, to your safe location or to your neighbour). If it is left in a safe place by your home, you can view the photo of that safe place in the My bpost app or Track & Trace. Also make sure that you have not received a failed delivery notice from the postman in your letterbox. It will tell you where your parcel has gone to. Keep in mind that you only receive this notice if we cannot reach you digitally. , If you are the receiver , and you still cannot find your parcel, please contact the sender for a solution. He is the only one who can start an investigation at bpost and make sure that you still receive your parcel. , If you are the sender , , please contact our customer service. This is best done using our online form . This way you can immediately provide us with all the necessary information and documents to handle your ticket.
You must always know which country you are sending money to. Depending on the country, you must also indicate where (in which Ria agency and which city) your addressee will pick up the money. The counter clerk in your Post Office will tell you which countries require you to choose a Ria agency.
